"Judge's Photo-Op Ill-Timed - Also Possibly Unethical"

Ernie The Attorney has an excellent post about New Orleans Judge C. Hunter King, who's having a bit of trouble. Although he's already facing discipline for forcing his staff to work in his re-election campaign (and then lying about it), he was allowed to continue trying cases, including one in which the plaintiff just won $51.4 million for a street car accident. Plaintiff's lawyer was none other than Johnny Cochran, and the judge actually posed for photographs with him after the verdict.

As Ernie puts it, "This man doesn't suffer from 'lapses of judgment.' He doesn't have any judgment to begin with." Details here.
