Robert Blake's Lawyer Abruptly Quits Murder Case
Actor Robert Blake's murder trial was put on hold on Thursday, possibly for months, after his lawyer abruptly quit over "irreconcilable differences" with the "Baretta" star less than two weeks before jury selection was set to begin.The move, which stunned prosecutors, was expected to delay the trial for up to six months while Blake finds new counsel who will have to review some 60,000 pages of evidence and the potential testimony of some 800 witnesses.
Blake has pleaded not guilty to murdering his wife, Bonny Lee Bakley, in May 2001.

UPDATE (3/16/05): Blake acquited of 1st degree muder and one charge of soliciting murder. (Jury deadlocked on second soliciation charge, which the judge then dismissed.) Details here.

i've been a fan of robert blake for a very long time. he has had alot of bad luck lately. just want to say that i support him, as do alot of other people. hang in there. no.1 fan from Ohio. P.S. have been looking for an address on mr. blake. just want to let him know i love him and i still think he is sexy as hell.love the gray hair.

i am a huge fan of robert blake. i have a photo album filled with everything he has ever done. i have been looking of a personnal email address so that i can tell him that i support him 100%. during the trial, i think he felt that everyone was against him and i want him to know that is not true. at one time his address was under bobby blake and i haven't found an address since. i would like so much to be able to contact robert blake and let him know that he has my support and the support of many others. a very big fan from ohio. theresa

I am the owner of the famout Robert Blake purple van. The one you see in a lot of pictures and films. He gave it to me about 3 days before he was arrested. We didn't know each other long, but he knew how much I loved the desert and that's what he used to do in the van. After a rough week shooting Baretta, he would take off in the van and just go. This van is incredible and my family and I have enjoyed it and love the fact Robert knew we would. It is time to pass it on. There is lots of Robert Blake history in this van. It is a 1976 Ford F250 Econoline van, the color is purple/gold.d It is 4-wheel drive. Has a stove, refrigerator, sink, bathroom, couch/bed, swamp cooler, awning, lots of storage, kickin' sound system, gear vendor overdrive and a fully blueprinted and balanced 350 engine, and too much to list.
