"A Train Wreck Every Day"
Imagine being so addicted to Susan Polk's murder trial that you hold off getting breast cancer surgery. That's what Alison Shurtleff -- who, along with mom, Sheila Milne, and Margaret Larsen -- is doing. For gavel groupies, the trial can't be beat for reality entertainment.
Details here from the San Francisco Chronicle.
UPDATE (5/26): Alison Shurtleff wrote to deny that she was "hold[ing] off getting breast cancer surgery" so she could attend the trial. Click on "Comments" below to read her message.

I am the Alison Shurtleff in this article and I want to clarify that the author of the original article misunderstood me when I said I was putting off a mastectomy to attend the Susan Polk trial. I was putting off a consultation for reconstructive surgery by just a few days, not surgery. That is scheduled for next month. I would never put off life saving surgery for any event, big or small. Please remove this from your website. Thank you.
