Meijer Joins Recall of Michigan Grown Apples Over Listeria Concerns

Last week, Aldi and Kroger announced a recall of their Michigan grown apples, and now Meijer has joined in. Just recently, Meijer announced a voluntary recall “involving Michigan grown apples that may be tainted with listeria.” According to the FDA, the retailer’s recall only impacts “select Meijer brand packaged products that contain sliced apples.”



Kmart Corporation Agrees to Pay $32.3M to Settle Drug Fraud Allegations

A $32.3 million settlement has been reached between Kmart Corporation and the United States government, bringing an end to allegations that “in-store pharmacies in Kmart stores failed to report discounted prescription drug prices to Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and TRICARE, the health program for uniformed service members and their families.” The lawsuit itself was filed against Kmart Corporation, a “wholly owned subsidiary of Sears Holdings Corporation (SHC),” back in 2008.








Ringling Bros, Barnum & Bailey Circus Sue Kid Rock for Trademark Infringement

Anyone who has ever visited a Ringling Bros. Circus has probably heard the phrase, ‘Greatest Show on Earth.’ After all, the phrase itself is a trademark of the popular Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, which is why a recent announcement about Kid Rock’s upcoming tour sparked a trademark infringement lawsuit. According to the announcement, Kid Rock’s upcoming tour is named the ‘Greatest Show on Earth’ tour, and that’s not sitting well with the circus owners.
