DENVER (AP) — A serial rape suspect in Colorado has been sentenced to more than 1,300 years in prison.
The sentence was imposed after Brent Brents took responsibility for attacks, including sexual assaults of seven women and two girls, that occurred between last October and February.
The sentencing judge told Brents he caused an “epidemic of fear” and ordered the maximum sentence on each of 68 counts, which included sexual assault, attempted murder, kidnapping and burglary.
