Attorney Disbarred After Deal Gone Bad Ponders Destruction of 56-Year Career

At age 83, Morton S. Robson is no longer trying to build his reputation as an attorney. He’s doing his best to salvage it. A complicated deal gone bad a few years ago led to his disbarment in May, and he continues to face a lawsuit seeking millions of dollars in damages. Disciplinary authorities and an investment group called the Regency Foundation say Robson misappropriated $6.2 million that the group had deposited in his firm’s escrow account.
