Is Arbitration the Way of the Future for Commercial Disputes?

Hogan & Hartson is so convinced that arbitration is the way of the future in complex commercial disputes that it recently built a state-of-the-art arbitration room in its downtown Miami office. Arbitration certainly has its proponents, and most major commercial contracts now contain mandatory arbitration clauses. But not everyone is a fan. “It really is like trying a case in the wild, wild West,” Miami attorney Michael Kreitzer says. “The simple fact is that arbitrators are not bound to follow the law.”
