A new recall has been issued for an estimated 1,500 DEMDACO infant bib and bootie sets after it was discovered that the “rattles sewn into the booties can detach, posing a choking hazard.” The recall itself was issued by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), and it specifically involves the “Story Time bib and bootie sets for infants ages 3-6 months.”

So how can parents tell if they have one of the recalled sets? Well, recalled products were sold at a variety of stores, including Christus Health Retail Systems, Joseph-Beth Booksellers, More Than Words, The Mole Hole of Peddlers Village & Eash Sales between June 2017 and August 2017, according to the recall notice. Also, the sets, which come in six different multi-colored pastel themes, have the following serial numbers, which can be found printed on the side of the bibs:

- 5004700493
- 5004700494
- 5004700495
- 5004700496
Additionally, the sets were sold under the brand name Nat & Jules. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported, but anyone who has one of these recalled items should stop using them immediately and “return them to any store that sells DEMDACO’s products for a full refund.”
