Unfortunately for parents hoping to pick up a “Totally Me!” clay craft kit from Toys R Us, plans might have to change a little. Just recently, the toy giant issued a recall for 6000 boxes of popular clay craft kits over mold concerns.

Unfortunately for parents hoping to pick up a “Totally Me!” clay craft kit from Toys R Us, plans might have to change a little. Just recently, the toy giant issued a recall for 6000 boxes of popular clay craft kits over mold concerns. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, “exposure to the mold could pose a health risk to people with compromised immune systems, damaged lungs or an allergy to mold.”
Parents who already have one of these kits, which were sold “between January and October at Babies R Us and Toys R Us stores” nationwide, can identify the recalled kits by the model number. At the moment, only kits with the model number AD11244 have been recalled. The model number “can be found on the bottom of the box.”
Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries or illnesses associated with the recalled clay kits, though “the company has received three reports of mold in the clay,” according to the CPSC. For now, parents and other consumers can return the recalled kits to “Babies R Us or Toys R Us for a store credit or full refund.”
