Michael Barasch, Managing Partner at Barasch & McGarry Law Firm, is an advocate for 911 health and compensation rights who has successfully secured over 3 billion dollars for over 25,000 firefighters, survivors and their families. Barasch continues to advocate on behalf of people with disabilities through the FealGood Foundation and Jon Stewart by working to ensure the Victim Compensation Fund remains in place permanently. If we really mean “Never Forget,” then Congress must protect these programs — permanently. The people who ran toward danger on 9/11 shouldn’t have to beg for help decades later.
