Families of Idaho Student Murder Victims Sue Washington State University
“The murders were foreseeable and preventable,” the lawsuit says, claiming that Washington State University should have recognized that Kohberger was likely dangerous.

In court filings, Garcia’s attorneys repeatedly emphasized that Character.AI had few, if any, mechanisms to protect her son or notify an adult about the frequency or content of the conversations. Garcia said that Character.AI’s “companion” chatbot was primarily designed to engage in sexual roleplay, but misleadingly presented itself as a friend, a romantic partner, and even as a psychotherapist.
“By including the word ‘Rib’ in the name of the sandwich, McDonald’s knowingly markets the sandwich in a way that deceives reasonable consumers, who reasonably (but mistakenly) believe that a product named the ‘McRib’ will include at least some meaningful quantity of actual pork rib meat,” the lawsuit claims.
“[T]he TEA appears to mandate investigations only for school personnel voicing criticism of the Commissioner’s preferred political figure,” the lawsuit alleges.
