The NCLA filed its lawsuit shortly after a small coalition of conservative senators, including former Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), joined forces with Democrats to pass a bill to lower tariffs on Canada and curb the president’s ability to further complicate international trade.
“The President has no power to do any of this,” the attorneys general wrote in court filings. “The Elections EO is unconstitutional, antidemocratic, and un-American.”
In a press release announcing the lawsuit, the New Civil Liberties Alliance characterized the tariffs as “unlawful” and said that their imposition would come at a high cost to American taxpayers.
In an earlier statement, The Palace Company claimed that the Akeos “fraudulently disputed legitimate credit card charges and publicly encouraged others to do the same.”
Attorney Adam Harrison wrote in a LinkedIn post that Culinary Creative Group “assures customers that its ‘service charge’ is distributed ‘equitably among staff’ but then pays a huge portion to MANAGEMENT.”
“Two Planet Fitness patrons returned to the club and requested the AED, indicating that a man was dying outside,” the lawsuit alleges. “Despite knowing about the life-or-death situation unfolding, the Planet Fitness club manager refused.”
A spokesperson for Elon Musk’s America PAC said that his organization does not yet know who Doe is, but suggested that they could have had payments flagged for suspected fraud.
Tate is also being investigated by law enforcement in the United Kingdom and Romania, where he is under suspicion for money laundering, human trafficking, and assorted sex crimes.
The lawsuit claims that Elon Musk intentionally obscured his acquisition of Twitter stock, saving himself more than $150 million while jeopardizing other investors.
