“Nylah, still in her first year of adolescence, likely had no idea what she was doing or that following along with the images on her screen would kill her,” U.S. Circuit Court Judge Paul Matey wrote. “But TikTok knew that Nylah would watch because the company’s customized algorithm placed the videos on her ‘For You Page.’”

Gateway Church, a Texas-based megachurch with more than 100,000 active attendees, is continuing to face claims that its leadership either engaged in or tolerated child sex abuse. According to CBS News, Gateway recently settled another complaint alleging that its founder, Robert Morris, molested a 12-year-old girl in the 1980s. The most recent claim accuses a
“I’m a transgender girl,” 14-year-old Iris Turmelle said. “I’ve known that my whole life and everyone knows I’m a girl. I don’t understand why I shouldn’t get to have the same opportunities as other girls at school.”
“We inspected a freezer where bone flaps are stored and could not find a bone flap with Mr. Cluster’s patient identification,” staff wrote in the man’s medical file. “There were several bone flaps with incomplete or missing patient identification, but we could not be certain which if any of these belonged to Mr. Cluster.”
“I hope that the case for the family brings some closure for something that is a long time coming,” said Griff Sikes, an attorney representing the family.
