While attending Law School, I was a law clerk for the District Attorney's Office for Child Support. In 2007, I became certified as a family law specialist. I volunteer as a settlement officer in the Ventura County courts. In 2009, I opened my own practice, where I continued to focus primarily on family law cases. I have tried complex custody, domestic violence, and child/spousal support cases. My focus is to educate my client about the law and life after divorce and how to adapt to their new role. My goal is to take all steps to attempt to settle outside of court; however, when a settlement fails, I prepare and advocate my client's position in the adversarial process.

For anyone heading into a divorce where abuse is part of the story, the practical lesson is short. The safest decision and the strongest legal decision point the same way, which is to get clear advice before the first hearing rather than after it.
