WASHINGTON, D.C. – Capitol South, LLC, a Washington, D.C. -based lobbying and public affairs firm is pleased to welcome Michael Pape as an Associate at the organization. Pape brings over 30 years federal, state and local government experience to Capitol South.
Pape received his Master’s in American Politics from the University of Akron and its Ray Bliss Institute of Applied Politics with an emphasis in campaign management, lobbying, politics and the media, polling, and Congress. Mr. Pape served as the Political Director for the Republican Party of Kentucky and as District Director for U.S. Representative Ed Whitfield, R-KY-01, for 22 years, where he worked alongside Capitol South Founder and President Marty Irby, during his time as Whitfield’s Communications Director and Legislative Aide. Michael Pape is a distinguished public speaker on energy, healthcare, national defense, agriculture, economic, transportation, and education issues.
Most recently, Pape served in the private sector as the Director of Business Development for VillageMD a National provider of primary and specialty healthcare in the value-based care and accountable care organization space. Pape’s philosophy is to make a difference for the better in all things and appreciate the different perspectives that individuals bring to the arena of advocacy for public policy and the legislative process. Pape also served as Director of Corporate Development for a national security company prior to working in Congress.
