“The Constitution, and the Appointments Clause, are not mere roadblocks for this administration to ignore,” Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said. “I look forward to continuing this case in court.”
Trump maintains that the interview misled voters and caused him to incur personal financial harm. He initially sought an award of $10 billion but changed course and is now requesting a total of $20 billion. The damages, if awarded, would also include compensation for alleged “mental anguish.”
Earlier this week, Camilo and his attorneys filed a notice in a New Jersey-based federal court stating that he intends to seek at least $2 million in damages. He claims that, as a result of Walmart’s alleged negligence, he suffered a range of serious and permanent injuries.
“We all know the Commission is not allowed to change the rules after the drawing,” the lawsuit states. “But the Commission has apparently tried to do so and relied—at least in part—on this ex post facto announcement to continue to refuse to pay Plaintiff her lottery winnings simply because she utilized a lottery ticket courier service to buy the winning ticket.”
Bonta also addressed a Truth Social post in which Trump threatened to levy a targeted, 25% tariff on all Apple products if the company continues with plans to manufacture iPhones in India rather than shift production to the United States.
“With a stroke of a pen, the government sought to erase a quarter of Harvard’s student body, international students who contribute significantly to the University and its mission,” Harvard wrote in its lawsuit. “Without its international students, Harvard is not Harvard.”
In its new guidance, the department threatened any state’s refusal to release this data could “trigger noncompliance procedures,” potentially leading to lawsuits or the withholding of federal funds.

It also allegedly encouraged workers to wear Pride-related colors. In some cases, Eaton managers sent out emails to staff with links to purchase Pride-themed T-shirts.
Many of the lawsuit’s claims derived from the 1936 Robinson-Patman act, which prohibits companies from using certain incentives to favor large customers over their smaller competitors.
