Google, a Mountain View, California-based company, has been in the news quite a bit lately. However, instead of shining a spotlight on a former employee’s 10-page anti-diversity memo, this week Google is getting attention because three former female employees have decided to file a lawsuit against the company, accusing it of “discriminating against women in pay and promotions.”

The Honest Co., Jessica Alba’s Health and Wellness company, has had a rough year. After battling class action lawsuits that alleged the company “engaged in unfair and deceptive practices related to its marketing, labeling, and advertising,” the Honest Co. has agreed to pay a $7 million settlement to customers in the United States who “purchased certain Honest diapering, cleaning, or personal care products.” Though the matter hasn’t been officially resolved in court, both sides of the aisle “agreed to settle the case in order to avoid the costs of continued litigation.”
