A voluntary recall was recently issued by MBI Distributing, Inc. for a variety of its homeopathic products, including Teething Drops, Nausea Drops, Intestinal Colic Drops, Stomach Calm, Expectorant Cough Syrup, Silver-Zinc Throat Spray, and Argentum Elixir over lack of process controls, according to the recall notice.
A voluntary recall was recently issued by MBI Distributing, Inc. for a variety of its homeopathic products, including Teething Drops, Nausea Drops, Intestinal Colic Drops, Stomach Calm, Expectorant Cough Syrup, Silver-Zinc Throat Spray, and Argentum Elixir over lack of process controls, according to the recall notice.
For those who don’t know, when products are manufactured without proper process controls, it “increases the probability that products will vary in strength, quality, and purity.” As a result, using the recalled products can potentially “result in an adverse reaction, especially in vulnerable populations such as infants and children.” Because many of the recalled products are geared towards babies and children, the recall is all the more urgent. Fortunately, however, there have been no “reports of adverse events related to the recall.”

The recalled products were distributed to retailers, healthcare professionals, and other consumers across the country. Nonetheless, MBI Distributing, Inc. is working on notifying “distributors and retailers by mail and is arranging for return of all recalled drug products in their possession.” Anyone who thinks they or someone they know may be experiencing adverse reactions related to any of the recalled products seek medical attention immediately.
