Get Ready, Tomi Lahren Joined Fox News

— September 4, 2017

Tomi Lahren is back, this time as a new political contributor for the conservative news network, Fox News. An avid supporter of President Trump, she’s made a name for herself for being rather outspoken about her political beliefs. According to a statement released earlier today by Fox, as a contributor, Lahren will “provide political commentary on Fox News’ conservative opinion shows, primarily Sean Hannity’s primetime program.” Additionally, she will “have a signature role on a digital product currently being developed,” though details about that particular product have yet to be released.

When asked about her new position, Lahren expressed excitement. In a Facebook post she wrote:

“I am blessed and honored to join the Fox News team. This exciting new step will allow me to give voice to all the America-loving patriots who have had my back since day one.”

She also issued the following tweet:

Lahren will start her new job with the conservative network later tonight when she appears “as a contributor on “Hannity” at 10 p.m. ET/PT.” But what has she been up to before joining the Fox News Team? What are her qualifications? For starters, she earned a B.A. in broadcast journalism and political science from The University of Nevada. While she was a student, she “produced and hosted the university’s political roundtable show “The Scramble” on UNLV-TV.”

Upon graduation, Lahren hosted “On Point with Tomi Lahren” at One America News Network. From there, she joined TheBlaze, a conservative “digital news outlet” founded by “former Fox News host Glenn Beck.” During her time at TheBlaze, she hosted a segment titled “Final Thoughts” where many of her more well known “rants” originated from. However, “Lahren left TheBlaze earlier this year after she sued the network when she was pulled from its air following pro-choice comments she made on “The View.” Her lawsuit eventually settled, and she took a job with the Great America Alliance.

As previously mentioned, Lahren has garnered a lot of attention from both sides of the political aisle over her controversial “rants,” and she has managed to accumulate a lot of fans who appreciate that she discusses controversial topics. However, because of her rather blunt way of discussing things, she also has a lot of people who aren’t particularly fond of her. Love her or hate her though, it will be interesting to see how she does at Fox News.
