“Oregon communities are stable, and our local officials have been clear: we have the capacity to manage public safety without federal interference,” Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield in a statement.
“Dominion brings this action to set the record straight, to vindicate the company’s rights under civil law, to recover compensatory and punitive damages, and to stand up for itself, its employees, and the electoral process,” Dominion’s lawsuit against Giuliani said.
“The evidence showed that Amazon used sophisticated subscription traps designed to manipulate consumers into enrolling in Prime, and then made it exceedingly hard for consumers to end their subscription,” Ferguson said. “Today, we are putting billions of dollars back into Americans’ pockets, and making sure Amazon never does this again.”
“He had just a short period of time before this [he had] been told by a Connecticut judge that he was unfit to have custody of his own child because he was a risk to that child, so this is a very preventable tragedy,” attorney Kelly Reardon said in a statement.
Less than a day later, a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement supervisor ordered the plaintiff’s release, realizing that he was a documented immigrant with every right to reside and work in the United States.
The suit seeks unpaid wages, overtime compensation, liquidated damages, attorneys’ fees, and injunctive relief to prevent future violations.
