“By cutting funding for these lifesaving youth mental health programs, the Department of Education is abandoning our children when they need us most,” New York AG Letitia James said in a statement.
“Our office filed a lawsuit against the owners of a La Porte mobile home park for unsafe, unlivable conditions. We’re demanding accountability and better living standards for residents. From broken utilities to unsafe living spaces, we’re holding property owners responsible and seeking justice for tenants who don’t deserve to be treated this way,” Rokita wrote on Twitter.
“One of the core responsibilities of my office is consumer protection, and there may be no more important consumers than Nevada’s youth,” Ford said in a statement. “Today’s litigation is a necessary step to ensure that our state’s youth are not exploited by social media platforms and that they can grow into adults without the addictive and harmful impacts that these platforms can cause.”
DOCCS and OMH continue to subject hundreds of people with disabilities held in state prisons to solitary confinement, which is defined under HALT as “any form of cell confinement…for more than 17 hours a day.”
Based on the jury verdict, total damages for the class comprised of approximately 2,000 policyholders are now estimated at $83.2 million after deducting prior settlement payments. With interest added, total damages are estimated at $211.3 million.

“The city believes that this is really an issue about private property,” said attorney Jeff Tillotson, who represented Dallas in the lawsuit. “We lease the property to a private entity—the State Fair of Texas—and, just like you have with respect to your home, they have the right to do what they want with respect to guests.”
“It’s pretty obvious why Paramount chose to surrender to Trump,” Sanders said. “The Redstone family is in line to receive $2.4 billion from the sale of Paramount to Skydance, but they can only receive this money if the Trump administration approves this deal.”
