In its ruling, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals explicitly rejected Trump’s allegations that trial judge Lewis A. Kaplan had spoiled the trial by permitting two other women who had accused Trump of sexual abuse to testify.
“This does not fix racism,” Dr. Benjamin Danielson said. “These are wounds we’ll carry the rest of our lives, in some ways.”
Earlier this week, Colorado District Court Judge David Goldberg determined that Douglas County failed to establish that it has standing to sue the state. In his ruling, Goldberg noted that the federal government cannot actually compel states to comply with detainer requests.
“The Diocese vigorously defended the decades-old claim and was prepared to take it to trial,” a Diocese of Orange spokesman said in a statement. “However, all parties—the plaintiff, the Diocese’s insurers, and the Diocese—agreed that a pre-trial settlement was most beneficial to everyone involved.”
Although many class members do not yet know how much money they could receive from the settlement, some workers have since said the compensation will be “life-changing.”
“Our investigation found that Camping World would advertise a heavily discounted ‘Dare to Compete’ price,” Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum said in a press release. “During negotiations, Camping World would claw back its purported discount by double charging consumers for freight and prep charges that had already been included in the advertised price.”

The case is now remanded back to the District Court.
“It’s less and less clear why we took this case and why you should win it,” Justice Elena Kagan said at another point during arguments.
“I don’t have any illusion about having the final word on this,” Chatham County Superior Court Judge Benjamin Karpf wrote shortly before dismissing lawsuit.
