Red Square Foods, Inc. Recalls Frozen Meat and Poultry Products Over Undeclared Allergens

If you’re a fan of Red Square Foods, Inc. products, this recall is for you. Earlier this weekend, the Somerset, New Jersey company issued a recall of an “undetermined amount of various frozen meat and poultry ravioli and blintzes products” over concerns that some of the products may be mislabeled or contain undeclared allergens. The recall was announced by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) which noted that the recalled products “contain eggs, milk, and/or wheat, all known allergens, which are not declared on the product label.”



Exploding Toilets Results in Massive Recall of 1.4M Flushmate Flushing Systems

Earlier this week, officials with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a recall alert for an estimated 1.4 million “pressure-assisted flushing systems manufactured between 1996 and 2013 after nearly 1,500 of the systems burst in toilet tanks.” So far, the incidents of exploding toilets have resulted in 23 injuries and nearly $710,000 in damages. In one case, the unsuspecting victim was injured so severely they had to undergo foot surgery.


Walmart, Whole Foods Among Brands Involved in Massive Corn Recall

If you’re a fan of buying prepared salads at your local grocery store, this recall notice is for you. Earlier this week, GHSE, a company based in Green Cove Springs, Florida, issued a recall of “738 pounds of ready-to-eat salads that contain corn that may be contaminated with salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes,” according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service. So far, the potential contamination has affected prepared salads sold at popular retailers such as Whole Foods, Walmart, and Trader Joe’s.


Bazzini LLC Recalls 4,000 Pounds of Pistachios Amid Salmonella Fears

If you’re a fan of pistachios, listen up. Earlier this week, Bazzinil LLC issued a recall for 4,000 pounds of pistachios over concerns of potential Salmonella contamination. It turns out that during routine internal testing, some of the products tested positive for Salmonella. As a result, the company, which is based in Allentown, Pennsylvania, has halted “production and distribution of several specific products to investigate the source of the bacteria.”


Walmart Recalls More than 246,000 Oz Trail Camp Axes Over Potential Defect

Have you purchased a camp ax lately? If so, what store did you purchase it from? If you purchased your ax from Walmart, you may want to double check the brand name to make sure it’s not part of a major recall recently issued by the popular retailer. Earlier this month, Walmart issued a recall for more than 246,000 Oz Trail camp axes over concerns that the “ax head can detach from the handle, posing a serious risk for injury.”




Boy Scouts of America Issues Voluntary Recall of 110,000 Neckerchief Slides

Earlier this week, the Boy Scouts of America issued a recall of an estimated 110,000 neckerchief slides “that have been found to contain dangerous levels of lead.” The recall was posted on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s (CPSC) website on Wednesday, and claim the four models of the recalled neckerchief slides “have been shown to contain levels of lead that exceed the federal lead content ban within the slides’ colored enamel.”
