Meijer Joins Recall of Michigan Grown Apples Over Listeria Concerns

Last week, Aldi and Kroger announced a recall of their Michigan grown apples, and now Meijer has joined in. Just recently, Meijer announced a voluntary recall “involving Michigan grown apples that may be tainted with listeria.” According to the FDA, the retailer’s recall only impacts “select Meijer brand packaged products that contain sliced apples.”



Springfield Smoked Fish Expands Recall of Smoked Fish Products Over Listeria Concerns

For those who don’t know, Springfield Smoked Fish recalled some of it’s smoked fish products not too long ago. However, the company recently announced that it was expanding that recall due to “Listeria concerns from two New England states to nationwide.” According to the recall notice, the affected products, “19 of which were sold under the Springfield Smoked Fish or Rachael’s Springfield Smoked Fish brand names, were sold at retail and wholesale stores in New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Colorado, Ohio and Pennsylvania and nationwide via online outlets.”



23,000 Dream on Me Child Mattresses Recalled Over Fire Hazard Concerns

An important recall has been issued that parents should be aware of. The company “Dream on Me recently recalled 23,400 crib and toddler mattresses sold in 2016 because they fail to meet federal flammability standards.” This is particularly dangerous because in failing to meet the flammability standards, the mattresses actually pose a risk of fire, according to the Consumer Product Commission (CPSC).


FDA Recalls Purified Kroger Baby Water Amid Mold Concerns

A major recall has been issued by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that parents may be interested in, especially those with babies. The recent recall was issued earlier this week on Monday, and affects gallons of “Kroger’s Comforts For Baby purified water with added fluoride…with a sell-by date between 4/26/2018 and 10/10/2018.” Why was the recall issued, though? Well, it turns out the affected gallons of water are contaminated with a certain “type of mold that could cause serious allergic reactions.”
